About Us:

The GayCharlotte Film Festival and Film Series are programs of The LGBT Community Center of Charlotte, a 501c3 non-profit organization. 

Founded in 2009, the Festival began as a four-day event held at The LGBT Community Center of Charlotte. By 2011, the Festival had turned into a marathon 8-day frenzy of LGBT film screenings. With so many movies to show, organizers created the GayCharlotte Film Series to bring LGBT-themed movies to the Queen City every other month. The Film Series also presents speakers and partners with other organizations to build community bridges by bringing the best movie experiences to Charlotte.
